Tax Associate
We are seeking a motivated Tax Associate to join our Tacoma office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to develop their skills in a full-service CPA firm environment with a diverse and growing client base.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, business, trust, and estate tax returns under the supervision of senior staff
- Assist with tax research and planning projects
- Communicate with clients to gather information and respond to inquiries
- Support senior staff during tax season with return preparation and review
- Maintain organized and accurate client files and workpapers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA candidate preferred; active pursuit of CPA licensure a plus
- 0–3 years of public accounting or tax preparation experience
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Senior Tax Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead our Tumwater office team. This is a leadership role for a seasoned CPA professional ready to take ownership of client relationships, mentor staff, and drive the continued growth of our Tumwater practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Tumwater office tax team, providing mentorship and technical guidance
- Review complex individual, business, trust, and estate tax returns
- Serve as primary point of contact for key client relationships
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for a diverse client portfolio
- Oversee workflow management and ensure timely, accurate delivery of client work
- Participate in business development and client acquisition efforts
Qualifications
- CPA license required
- 7+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
- Prior management or supervisory experience required
- Strong technical knowledge across individual, business, trust, and estate taxation
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
